Found a beetle grub

Found this guy scurrying on its back on the walk way. It completely stopped moving once I touched it. I took photos and set it in a flower pot with roses and it burrowed its way in after 5 minutes or so.

Can anyone identify the species? Found in Dallas Texas.

Cotinis mutabilis. Any grub that walks/crawls on its back is a flower beetle grub.
