It took me forever to find some, locally, but one of the pet shops I frequent ordered some Orthoporus sp. for me :D They got seven in stock, but I was only able to afford one right now. If it does well, then I will go get more.

Does anyone know a reliable and safe method for sexing milipedes? I would like to try some captive breeding, but without having to HOPE I have both sexes in an enclosure.

Anyway, enjoy a few pictures of my new cutie :)

re: milliipede sexing

through keeping & breeding millipedes in the past from which i have brought from breeders i have asked them all which is which and they have shown me how to tell the sexes apart when looking at them the male looks like it has no legs on the 7th segment of its body but the legs have actually developed into little hooks used for mating while the female has all its legs so if the 7th pair of legs looks like they arent there then its a male but if they are there then its a female
