I have fed alot more Herptiles than T's in my time but I firmly believe roaches are a much better prey item all around.
-broader diet means likely better nutritional value.
-Less likely to turn on your Ts
-Much easier to raise your own (most species are VERY easy to raise in sufficient quantities)
-Many species don't stink like a colony of crickets (i hate crickets).
-They don't chirp like a colony of crix (I hate hearing this all night! Even from small groups of left-overs!).
As with any prey item, only add as many as the T will consume in one feeding.
I would check the "For Sale/Trade" board HERE . There are lots of dealers and private individuals you can purchase feeder roaches, or even entire colonies from.
