Hi all!
My sister and I are currently taking care of my cousin's bearded dragon, and we are possibly going to keep her. Right now, she is being fed mustard greens (with the occasional other vegetable and mealworm as a treat) 5 days a week, and about 30-35 calcium-dusted crickets once a week, with one day a week without food. She is approximately 1.5 years old, and close to, if not, full grown.
Is this diet good for her? What are you guys' feeding schedules, and what, if anything, should I change about mine?

Thanks!

This article from reptiles magazine is pretty in depth...

The main thing that I've come to understand is that variety is great and will support overall health and vigor of the animal, just like with humans. I'd try doing veggies 7 days a week and add little more variety, the beardie will thank you. When they reach adult size, pinky mice can be offered as a rare treat too and they're packed with protein and calcium.

And here is a cheat chart...

Good luck!!!

Good luck!!!
Thanks so much for the information, it's super helpful! We'll try to add some variation, and maybe spread the crickets out to a few days a week.
