Actually I got that quote from a picture of some wild public protest with antifa or some other angry group, and a peaceful-looking guy standing there looking forlorn in the middle of it, with a protest sign that said "I was told there would be free food."

When i'm watching a T doing some interior decorating and it doesn't notice me, then turns around and freezes with a mouth full of substrate like "awww crap the giant thing saw me move....."
Made my day!

By really, my favorite aspects (in no particular order):

1. Deciding what to get next and window shopping
2. Opening packages and gingerly opening vials.
3. Setting up enclosures.
4. Finding your new baby webbing like mad just an hour into her new home.
5. Finding your baby already eating just an hour into her new home.
6. Studying taxonomy and the natural history of the animal.

I’m curious as to the different perspectives of this community. Do you enjoy the husbandry most? Building enclosures? Or perhaps breeding your favorite species to share with the world is more your style. In keeping tarantulas, what are you most passionate about?
I enjoy most the different behaviors they exhibit, both within a species, and across species. And I really enjoy watching webbing form, it's one of nature's most amazing biomaterials.
