... Unfortunately I've had her since a tiny pedeling and she has never been with another centipede. Oh well, at least I know I have 1 female for sure.

P.S. have they changed the name for this species. I seem to recall they did but couldn't find anything just now.

Depends on locale. Florida locale alternans are now scolopendra longipes, the rest are still alternans.

I have always wondered if female pedes drop infertile eggs, thanks for that bit of knowledge!
