Dubia order

Ordered some dubia roach's for my tarantulas they did well but the small ones got some 1/4 inch for my frogs and a fair amount of them didn't make it is this normal they shipped Monday and I got them today

They didn't make it during shipping or did they die after you had them a while?

Shipping I'm not complaining the made sure they sent enough it covered the ones that died I just I was wondering if the smaller ones tended to die of more frequently during shipping
