Hello. Its been pouring down here lately and this turned up outside my back door. Scooped him up and dried him out and he seems to be OK. Definitely wasn`t going to do mouth - to - mouthparts resuscitation on him. Not sure if its A robustus or Hadrohyche formidabilis. To be released as soon as its dry enough. And positive id is .. ?

In my expert opinion it's one of the two you mentioned. Unless it isn't. Those two always look exactly the same to me. It supposedly is pretty common for Robustus to go out looking for high ground during heavy rains.
