I was wondering if T's hibernate, because I was wondering how they survive kansas weather? kansas has heavy snow, and below zero temps. so how do they survive? Or do the eggssacks somehow make it through the winter?

here in Az, our Tarantulas plug up their holes dureing the colder months and go into a state of dormincy(sp) as I assume most T's do to endure the cold.

I think if their burrows are below the frost , they're ok during the winter.

T's go into a state called "torpid".
Read all about it in the T Keepers Guide. Page 48. It too long for me to type. ;)
