Do Pink Toes have pink toes?

I could have sworn I saw this somewhere before, but now it seems I can't find any info on it. What I remember reading is that the female Avicularia avicularia has pink on the tips of her pedipalps just like all her legs. The male's pedipalps end in black tips. Anyone know about this?

Hmmm, I don't remember if maturity was mentioned in whatever it was that I read.

I've never understood the "pink toe" monicker. It's more it a coral, really.

Yes, you are correct but only mature males don't have pink toes on their pedipalps. Females will have them after sling stage. Males will also have pink toed pedipalps up until their ultimate molt. It's an easy way to spot if your pink toed Avicularia is a mature male for beginners or for anybody in pictures.
