I just got a couple H lividums from a recent reptile show (not to mention many many other t's).

anyways, to my surprise, one of the female cobalts had an eggsac sorta stuffed under part of her substrate.

Upon opening, i quickly realize the whole sac is infertile/dud/ruined.

the eggs were very nasty... and sticky.

I have no clue.

And you know, when i picked it up, the sac felt kinda damp. I could feel the eggs lumped inside, and i knew right away something was wrong.

I'm willing to bet she made the eggsac, and then the person (reptile dealer) didn't know (or maybe even didn't care) and continued misting her cage. Maybe that's what ruined the sac.

That or she got way to stressed and chomped on them. Its a shame either way.

Sorry to hear about it, Dan. I would have gotten all excited about finding the sac...and then *popped balloon*. What a bummer!
