Here is a photo of this angry dwarf spider, though not showing aggression in the photo she was before the photo shoot. She molted two weeks ago as you can see she is still fat after her molt.

This genus is WAY underrepresented in the hobby. There's species all across the Caribbean.

In the 1970's a friend of mine went to the Bahamas, Andros and Eluethera Islands, and collected a few Cyrtopholis, possibly bonhotei. The females were dark brown with a light carapace, and the males were black with a bright gold carapace.

Cyrtopholis portoricae - Female (2).JPG DSC_0306.JPG DSC_0313.JPG If anyone thinks they have a beast in their collection, try this species and see if this one would be the one on top of your list for the worst defensive NW tarantula in your collection. Heck I thought my Acanthoscurria simoensi was bad this species is neck to neck with the same attitude of my simoensi.
