I recently got one as a freebie and it is just so so tiny I’m not sure what to feed it. I left a cricket leg in there and I’m not sure if it’ll take it later on. I also tried some teeeny tiny baby isopod and even that is too big for the sling.

Any other suggestions besides fruit flies?

Cut up mealworm or cricket legs work. That's how I raised my C. elegans

If it doesn’t eat right away don’t worry. It will take the cricket leg when it’s hungry(don’t leave the cricket leg in for more than a day)

I find the smallest cricket in the bin, kill it, and place in sling vial. Sling will feed on cricket, discard remains. Easy peasy.

I usually buy them as bigger slings even with larger species bc of how fragile they are so I never knew how to raise them this small. Thanks everyone!

remember, small slings dehydrate VERY VERY easily.

I feed either pre-killed mini mealworms or red runner nymphs, just dump the feeder in and check back the next morning.
