Cricket breeding question

You mean the process for one cricket to go from one instar to the next or the time in between. For individuals its fairly quick, probably a matter of hours for the whole process. Not at all like a tarantula. Between molts depends a lot on temperature. The higher it is the quicker they grow.

Putting the egg laying dish for black crickets in incubation today, I’m not sure I can solder ventilation holes into a tub that will be small enough not to allow hatchling escapes, I have a roll of fibreglass mesh tape I’m thinking of wrapping the ventilated tub with. Any other ideas?

Not sure if they can eat through fiberglass. Metal mesh might be safer.
Use aluminum. They're known to chew through fibreglass.

Also, if you're going to breed crickets, you'll see a HUGE difference between 75 and 80 F. At 75 mine mostly hid and stayed dormant, but at 82 they eat 4x as much, molt like crazy, and are constantly active .
