Everyone has their own system...I use acrylic with holes drilled for ventilation. I start with vials (if necessary) then go to a 3.5-inch cube, a 5-inch cube, a 13 X 7 X 7 shoebox, and then a 15 X 13 X 7 sweater box. (That's for terrestrials, though. I use Exo Terra Nano Tall for my arboreals.)

Optically speaking glass offers the best light transmission. It's also easier to clean than acrylic, and significantly more scratch resistant than acrylic. I use both. Pros/cons already discussed on forum.

Plastic sweet jars
I agree with this, I use smaller milkshake powder/hot chocolate style plastic jars for my smaller arboreals.
my juveniles have have these small stackable brick enclosures. I don't think you can beat repurposed glass fishtanks or glass enclosures for bigger terrestrial T's

I prefer glass but low on money and my racks can only hold so many of them .

If you want something really transparent, I use these jumbo critter totes since they're super clear. They're only a bit smaller than generic 5 gallon fish tanks.

Lilah (pictured) is about 5" DLS for reference

... they're pricier than sweet jars/shoeboxes/tubs though but I love how they look!

RUBs work really good, they’re what I use for my roaches, and for small arboreal spiders straw jars work REALLY well!!
