Clavopelma sp (cf. tamaulipeca) - Sierra Madre Oriental, NL/Tam 2007-8

here are some hauntingly beautiful (because this species apparently isn't available in the US as far as I know) tarantulas that I photographed on two separate trips to Mexico in 2007 and 2008. Both of these spiders were from around 50 miles apart in the Sierra Madre Orientals of NL and Tamaulipas

2007 - NL (higher elevations above Zaragoza)
