I have a heated cage with a chameleon in it. he does not go to the bottom of the cage and stays up top was wondering if it would be ok to set my sling enclosures in the bottom so they have a higher temp as we have the air on during the summer and it cools the house down.i also have a heat pad but have been scared to use it for them afraid they would fry some how.

No heat needed. Just give a room that stays 70 to 90 degrees. All of them do well in room temps. Don't put them in the chameleon cage unless you want them eaton. Chameleons do come done especially to get away from the heat. Mine did.

This is a terrible idea. I owned chameleons, they come down. Also, their eyesight is EXCELLENT- they will spot the Ts and come down and likely try to eat them if they see them move. Which means their tongue will hit plastic likely, why tease an animal, and potentially damage its tongue?

Find a better way to keep them warm. If you can't do that, then give them to a good home.
