Can a 4 inch T eat a feeder that is small?

Yup, another question on mealworms, but hopefully the last. I just picked up a cup of 50 "large" mealworms from petco and they are smaller than expected. I don't think it's petco's fault and just me thinking they would be bigger. But they seem too small for my T. I took a tape measure up to it, when it was spread out on the side of the tank and I measured 4 inch DLS. I may be off but it seems 4 inches. Also if my T is truly 4 inches it seems a lot smaller than what I would imagine. It's a B. albo.

I did try feeding 1 mealworm, crushed it's head and held it with tongs near the T and on it's web, the worm was moving, but the T wasn't interested. I only tried for maybe 20 seconds though. This is my first feeding ever.

Was it just not interested or can a feeder be too small for a T to eat?

Help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

I feed my adult pokies mealworms regularly, including an ornata that's over 8".

Just crush the head and drop it near the t...it will eventually take it.
