Not really a question, just something I wanted to share with other mantis keepers :)
First ever mantis-pairing, and so far so good, Creobroter gemmatus. Fed the female until she looked ready to burst, and gave her a worm to keep her occupied. Male was very motivated and proceeded without further delay to mount her :).
First ever pairing anything, come to think of it. I have never put two animals together for the function of mating, lol.
Hopefully she will create some fertile ootheca for me, but even if she doesn't, it is an amazing thing to watch. I have four more females, and five more males, so i could try coupling others as well.
Got only crappy phone pics, the backlight is interfering, I will upload them later.

The mating was succesful, the male alive and well the next morning, and there were spermatophores (sp.?) sticking to the females rear end :)
