Burrowing cage, to open from the front or top?

Here is a sketch I did on microsoft paint of the cage, it is a bit rough on the
edges but i think you guys will be able to understand it. Dimensions of the main cage are 17x12x12 inches.
The design is a bit odd and that is because i wanted compact floor space with plenty of burrowing room, hence the 8 inches of substrate. It has such a large "wall", my main issue is whether to make this cage top opening or front opening,
I can do either one, I didn't feel it was necessary to make a sketch with a top open, as it would be exactly with the same, just with a top door.
I did this late at night so please forgive me for the roughness.
That smaller one is for when the scorpion is a scorpling.



NOTE: These cages will be housing Hadrurus Arizonensis.

well if you make it with a front opening door, you can put it on a shelf and not worry about having trouble doing feeding and cleaning. if you have a top opening door than you dont have to worry so much about your T bolting out. its really up to you :D
