Hey everyone, I am wanting to build a custom stirmi enclosure out of plexi that way I can fit it into a heat cabinet made for a bookshelf, display case, or etc. my issue is that every shelf or display case I come across is no deeper than 13”. And a 20 gallon long is about 31”x13”x13.

So ideally I’d want to make an enclosure maybe 29”x12”x12” that way there is room for the enclosure to fit completely on a shelf and not prevent the door from closing. Are those diy dimensions acceptable for an adult stirmi? My stirmi is currently about 6” and in a 10 gallon. I’ve consider making a diy heat cabinet but my capentry skills are not good enough to make a pleasant viewing cabinet. Any and all advice appreciated!

A lot of people use 20 gallon longs to house their T. Stirmi so I see no reason why an enclosure ever so slightly smaller would be a problem.
