I have not come across any studies that proves it as of yet, but it seems that everyone is under the impression that long term exposure is bad. Further evidence is required.

I have found a study that shows how to reduce scorpion fluorescence: http://www.americanarachnology.org/JoA_free/JoA_v37_n3/arac-37-03-368.pdf

Here is a link to and old post about UV light: http://arachnoboards.com/threads/uv-black-lights-bad-why.74010/

Add-on: Here is a study I found with regards to Scorpion reaction to light.

Thank you for the links! I dont think ill use the light much tbh just the occasional 1/2 mins when night viewing :)

I dont think its bad for them with that little exposure, questionable if there was longer periods of exposure etc

I have a UV flashlight that I shine on mine on occasion but it is generally only for a few seconds at most and it is from a distance. Usually I am only using it when I am trying to find one of them.
