Black Devil Sun Spider

    Now i am not sure where i should put this b/c i don't know much about this spider. But I was looking for any sites or info on this spider that i can get. i am looking into getting one if possible.

  2. Well sun spiders are solifugids, so it would be best posting this under True spiders and other arachnids, i would guess its either a Rhagodes or a Galleodes spp.

    are you talking about a T in a pet shop? If so, and its black with an orange pattern on its back, its P. irminia, known as Sun Tiger.

  6. i may be wrong, but "devils sun spiders" always were solifugids in my experience,
    can you tell us is it THIS or is it THIS Just making sure

  9. YEs thats a Solifugid and not an irminia, The inexperienced keeper will only manage to keep one of these alive for at best a year,

    if you still want one your best bet of obtaining one would be to go for a giant egyptian solifugid, much more readily available than the black ones.
