Best DSLR on a budget?

I've seen some great footage with the DSLRs.

Plus instead of having to deal with crappy digital zoom, you can use all the lenses you take pictures of, such as a telephoto lens or a fisheye. Why would you want to spend so much buying two things, when one is just as good! All you really need is a tripod or a steady cam mount.

That's just me. I like not having to carry as much stuff.

If you get a macro lens for a dslr, you can film your tarantulas and other inverts doing awesome things!
