Hello guys, today i found a "naked bagworm" on the road (with naked i mean it didnt have a case) soooo... i forgot to pick us food for it, even if it was right next to me, and i cant drive there because its an 5 drive. So, my questions are, can they rebuilt their homes? and can they eat lettuce? it also seems a big large. Though i heard that if caterpillars are near pupating and they cant find food, they'll pupate early, but emerge smaller in size. I even had this happen to me when i found a Euproctis simili Caterpillar but didnt have food for it. It did pupate 2 days after.

Yes, they weave pieces of bark, or the needles of softwood trees, like juniper or arborvite together, I've never thought to keep them, the moths are rather drab in color, I think they eat a bunch of common trees and shrubs
