Baby (3/4 inch) H. lividum found dead. :( I have no idea why. I saw his legs and fangs through a bare spot in his burrow and it looked kinda like a molt. I knew the moment I reached in to pull the molt that it wasn't what I thought...

Poor little guy. I hate it when tarantulas die for no apparent reason.

Here at AB, we call it U.A.D.S. (Up And Die Syndrome) That works for every mysterious death.

IMHO, Ts have so many offspring simply because some won't survive for whatever reason. In the wild, this ensures survival of the species. In the private collection, this SUX!:( Sorry about your baby.
