I got these B. smithi about a year ago along with some B. boehmi and B. emelia. All year the 3 species have looked almost identical and pretty much colorless. About half way through the last molt cycle they started showing some color but still all looked very similar. One of the smithi finally molted and after a week the colors popped out and it looks very much like a smithi. One of the emilia also molted but the coloration isn't as pronounced.
Anyway after spending a year of looking at colorless blobs they're finally starting to look like tarantulas.

Awesome! How big are they? I have b. bohemi, b. smithi, b. emilia, b. vagans, and b. albo and for the most part they all pretty much have that sling look to them, (though on close inspection the b. bohemi has very slight colors and the b. albo has little curled hairs). But I do look forward to them breaking out in colors and starting to look like Ts! :D

Congrats on your molts and new fun colors to look at!
