I just checked in on my newest edition and saw it laying on it's side. I took the top of the deli cup of to get a closer look, and saw tiny mites clustered around the chelicera.
I was on vacation when he bought it, and to be honest I didn't give it a through examination when I got home.
I just looked in on it again and it has popped it's carapace off. So apparently it means to molt on it's side.
Will removing the exuvium promptly after the molt help cut down on the mites in the cup?
Thanks!
Audrey

I would imagine so. If the mites are still on the exuvium, hopefully you can get 'em outta there before they realize they've been had

But make sure you can do it without bothering it too much or risk it hurting itself
