I found that a lot of pet stores near me were selling wild caught, it makes you wonder if they're coming in sick?

I have had about 40 captive bred Avics of this size or bigger, only one has croaked after reaching 3". So they are actually quite hardy at that size or bigger. I have only had 3 wild caught, 2 of them died the same way yours did. Conclusion, dont buy wild caught. There are plenty of reputable online dealers that can help you change your view point in this genus. Good luck and happy keeping.
