I'm new too the hobby and my first sub adult is a pink toe but I'm not to sure about it as its not eating and its abdomen isn't big. It does wonder around on a evening, I've has it over a month now and humanity is fine with a log hide etc. I'm saying "it" as I don't know sex atm. Any advice would be great :)

It would be helpful to post a photo of your tarantula as well as its cage so we can better help you and give you the right advice.

Arboreals dont get terrestrial plump. Not eating is usually not a concern...although in improper housing it can be a red flag.

Post pics of the enclosure, your description is worrisome.

Ground hides are pointless, avics make elevated homes...they need tall wood reaching near the top, surrounded by plants for cover and anchor points...this is key to an Avic making a proper home.

Humidity (i assume thars what you meant) is irrelevant...in fact high humidity situations can be quite dangerous without superior ventilation....keep it predominantly dry with a water dish.

This ventilation is the biggest key to a flourishing Avicularia.
