I took my love of sewing and tarantulas and made this:

Its legs, pedipals, and chelicerae are posable, thanks to a wire frame:

    Pen for size comparison:

And I made threads come out of the spinnerets as if it were silk:

I tried to make it as anatomically correct as I could without making it too difficult for myself. I did this all by hand and not a machine, so it was very time consuming.
It is modelled after a terrestrial T, and I'm planning to paint it with the colors of a certain species, so I am looking for suggestions.:)
  2. I think your T is gravid!{D Good look raising stuffed slings!!;)

Is it a particularly defensive species? Looks terrestrial. Are those it's adult colors? :D

  8. thats great, i bet if u made enuff of them u could get some people to buy them, of course with time and material its probably not cheap. probably cost as much as a real T to ship lmao.

    That's awsome! :D

But if you painted it, wouldn't the paint crack when you posed it? :?

If I put a thin layer of acrylic paint on, it won't crack. And I don't plan on moving it around that much.

its awesome, I sew too but there is no way I can make that
Maybe instead of acrylic you can try dyes? Some good fabric paint would probably work better than acrylic and you won't need to worry about paint cracking or tearing =)
