Apples and Dubias, it's what's for dinner.

My entire life I've loved creepy crawlies but there has only been one creature to make my skin crawl and feel genuinely perturbed, centipedes. To spare you the long story of inner digging of morbid fascinations I'll skip to the best part. I've been the owner of a large scolopendra subspinipes for about two weeks now and I'm in love after tonight. "Snuggles",as I so affectionately dubbed my nightmare pet, decided to take a stroll after I made it rain (probably disturbed the beast's slumber).

As a side topic, I would appreciate it if someone could answer a question for me. Do centipedes regenerate with molt like tarantulas and scorpions? Mine is missing half of an antennae and one of it's last legs.

Also please pay no mind to my generic temporary background, I'll be getting some acrylic paint soon.

Yes they can regenerate lost limbs and such. Are you feeding a centipede an apple?! They are carnivores

Scolopendra will actually eat fruits from time to time, of course invertebrates should be the main diet, but a little fruit doesn't hurt. :)

I was feeding all of my roaches apples and decided to put a piece of it in for the two dubias as their last dinner. I knew sometimes centipedes munch on fruits too so, why not? Apples for everyone! I have a dubia colony that is the staple diet for all of my inverts.

I used to have a big Dubia colony but now it's tiny. I use S. lateralis as my staple diet. Roaches4lyf

After a long hiatus my peder showed it's new exo and regenerated missing extremities. I'm glad it has both antennas again. It's also back to being a pig and throwing roach wings everywhere.
