I am within a 3 hour drive of Indianapolis, its just a nice afternoon drive. The address I sent the money to, a note card to when PM's didn't work, and the address the phone number belongs to are all one and the same. I even included a map on the paper I gave to the police when I went to fill out my report. ;)

Oh, don't get me wrong, I have thought about driving up and showing up on his doorstep, requesting my tarantula or my money. But I don't think it would be a wise idea for a few reasons. 1) I'm female 2) I'm in a strange place by myself 3) Would I call the police to show up with me? 4) Not sure of the actual legality of it all. 5) Could be viewed as harassment or threatening later on.

I am not going to let this rest, trust me. It's stealing plain and simple. The fact that it has gone on this long is inexcusable. I don't give a rat's ass what his personal problems might be anymore, he took my money, he took over $500 total from several people I know of and has not sent out anything. It is theft in the simplest definition of the word. Especially after he essentially lied to my face over the phone in saying he would send it and never did.

And I agree wholeheartedly with you about everyone else who's been had to not just roll over and lick your wounds. The more people that come forward and fill out reports, the stronger the case and penalty might be and the more apt the police are to do something about it.

Trust me, its not that much work or heartache to go fill out a report. Would you fill out a report if someone stole something out of your home/vehicle? Yes, I did feel retarded going to the sheriff's department and having to explain I bought a tarantula and the wiseacre never sent it, but its not half as retarded and sitting on my hands and not doing anything to get my money back.

If you have sent James Turner (Jaden) money and not gotten anything in return:

1) You have to fill out a theft report with your local law enforcement agency

2) They will in turn contact the Indianapolis Metropolitan PD - Internet Crimes Division (c/o Detective Mike Hornbrook - 317-327-5227 for further information)

3) Once you have your police report number, go to the local post office and fill out a mail fraud report. He conducted business by money order/check/cash and those things were mailed, he was to send the items through the USPS as well. Any business transactions conducted through the USPS is within a legal right to have federal mail fraud charges levied against him.

4) Lastly send a PM to "Arachnoboards" and explain your situation. They did say to me the more people that come forward with being screwed by him, they will block him from ever posting for sale ads again.

All this cowardly cretin has to do is take out a payday loan and pay people off, it's not that hard really. He got himself into this mess by stealing people's money, and he can get himself out of it...or he can pay the price. The choice is up to him. Right now, he's choosing to dig himself in deeper with hoping by ignoring the situation that it'll all go away.

Personally if anyone has contacted him via phone and talked to him recently, I would like to hear what was said. If anyone needs his phone number, please drop me a PM. It is publicly listed, after being told of the location to look (after all of my searches came up fruitless).

Just a little update...

The local deputy who took my report contacted me today to notify me that the Indianapolis PD have started an investigation on James Turner.
