AGBs Breeding?

I recently got 2 AGBs, a male and a female. The male is full grown at about 10 inches, but the female is only about 5 or 6. Recently I have seen them engaging in what I can only assume to be mating behavior on the surface at night. They are entangling their bodies and running their legs along each other. When I first got them they seemed to refuse to burrow, preferring to stay in buried cork bark hides during the day and night, but since I have seen them engaging in this mating behavior the dirt at the bottom of their hide has been disturbed and I am assuming that the female is burrowing to lay eggs. Is there a way that I can tell whether or not the female is pregnant? I know it has been said that AGBs are difficult to breed in captivity, so could this behavior be something other than mating?
