I made this tank with the bottom front panel glued in using acrylic cement. I was wondering if the acrylic cement weakens with exposure to moist soil? I did not pack the soil too firmly, so the pressure pushing against the front panel is minimal. I just don't want to wake up some morning with my front panel popped off and a P. subfusca running around my house. My wife would get out the can of Raid so fast if that thing got out!!!

Assuming by "acrylic cement" you mean a solvent based bonding agent such as Weld-on, then it's fine. It's how acrylic aquariums are held together after all..

Well think of it this way, there are many acrylic tanks that I've sealed with acrylic cement and they hold salt water... It just dePends how well you seal it and if there are bubbles I'n the seams.. It should hold moist soil rather easy...
