Just curious if someone could tell me what’s the reason my A. seemanni grabbed its prey, then spun in circles slowly laying down web. I have never seen her do this before. Just want to k ow the reason?

That's the famous "Happy Dance" :)

Out of all my T's, my A. seemanni does it the most! I heard it's to help them secure their meal while eating it, amongst other reasons.

Last night, my P. metallica went in circles laying web on the side of his enclosure for a solid 5 minutes while eating his roach... then he set the roach down in the webbing, did a few more circles, picked the roach back up and circled the other direction. I question not the motive of the spood lol

Iirc it is to protect their food from being eaten from other things like ants or other bugs. They’d get caught in the web or alert the T to kill em

“If I recall” or “If I remember correctly” not sure which but they both mean essentially the same thing
Ahh, thank you! Never would have guessed either of those lol

I actually have never questioned it, but this is cool if so!

It also stops their meal from falling apart seeing as they essentially eat by mashing the prey item up and then sucking the liquids out of the mangled ball of guts and exo.

“If I recall” or “If I remember correctly”
The latter.

If you're happy and you know it, spin around!
If you're happy and you know it, spin around!
If you're happy and you know it, then your legs will surely show it.
If you're happy and you know it, spin around!

If you're happy and you know it, wrap your prey!
If you're happy and you know it, wrap your prey!
If you're happy and you know it, then your silk will surely show it.
If you're happy and you know it, wrap your prey!

If you're happy and you know it, mash it up!
If you're happy and you know it, mash it up!
If you're happy and you know it, then your fangs will surely show it.
If you're happy and you know it, mash it up!
