A couple of newbie questions for you all

hello i am new to centipedes and have just got my first (thanks Vincent) and i have got a few newbie questions if anyone can help

1.How often do i have to change the substrate ?
2.What do centipede feces look like ?
3.Can i give them raw meat ?

1.How often do i have to change the substrate ? <--------------it depends

on what type of substrate u use. i use ground-peat moss, orchid bark,quark bark, and ruff grade contruction sand. i change my stuff every two months or so, give or take a week or two. sometimes you just have to eyeball it.

3.Can i give them raw meat ? <--------------yes

welcome to centipedes

1. when it needs it (i.e. mites, mold, or other negative factors start to impact the health of my centipedes)

2. similar to scorp and tara. whitish spots

3. never tried, but they *will* eat apples, bananas, and my hand

Thanks for the replies i thought that the feces were white spots i have been removing these i will also try them on some raw meat but i will refrain from my hand
