I am starting to think about using these tank for isopods, specifically zebra isopods. How many would you think could fit in the tank? What substrate mix would you reccomend?
If that's made of glass, be aware that woodlice can climb up the silicone in the corners. If it's plastic, that should be fine. Woodlice will generally reproduce to use the available resources, so if you pop a few in, you'll get however many the tank can support. That said, it's a small tank and the dimensions look rather tall and narrow. They'll use the floorspace more than the height. Extra height doesn't hurt them (and most of my tanks have some, as it helps avoid escapes), but you don't want to go for height instead of floorspace.
The majority of woodlice are kept with a mix of something like coco fibre or other soil-like stuff with leaf litter and rotting wood mixed in. These ones are no exception.
