I have also had many heart-stopping moments where I thought I had crushed a little one. The first time someone sent me slings packed in straws, the tissue end was hard to pull out and at one point I had pushed it in some! I thought the little sling was being crushed between two tissue pieces! He...
I use a small pocket notepad. I keep track of when I bought it, at what size I bought it, when it molts, what size it molted to, if they're smaller than 2" then I keep track of their feeding.
Got many new guys that I keep forgetting to share here.
I got 2x C. darlingi's
An H. maculata. It looks like an angry little lint ball. I got it along with a little B. albo, not pictured.
Last but not least, I got a beautiful P. scrofa.
Note: The moss is dry. I just put a blanket of it...
You go to rehouse a desert species, but the cocofiber is still damp, so you sit there with a hair drier hurrying up the process before putting it in it's new home.
-Just did this last night.
I was reading before I go to bed, and this article caught my eye.
Lo and behold, the first thing on the list is how X. immanis keeps a "pet" frog around.

Took some pictures while filling the water bowls of my C. marshalli containers. :P
Clarkson: "Just a typical day as a baby spider, la-la-la. Look at my pretty butt."
"Wait! What is that!?!"
"Oh my god. The rain has appeared! Cynthia come look! The water floweth!"
Cynthia: "....No."
My female A. chalcodes is a grooming machine. She has to look pretty every day and takes hours doing so, lol. My friends call her the sassy Latino princess.
I have never seen a split rock cactus. That thing is interesting looking to say the least, lol. I was a little worried as "cactus" makes me think spikes and full of pain and tweezers. However I think that'll look pretty rad in a tank.
Aw, I love Chacos. I have a little guy named Chimichanga who's molted once a month since I got him. They're very personable, but my guy likes to play "peek a boo" when I life his cup to find him in his burrow.
They're the giant teddy bears of the spider world. :)
:| Oh god, I am so sorry for bringing up the H word. I regret everything.
On track: Thankfully I've never had a DOA or accident with a sling, yet. *knocks on wood*
But I wish your new G. pulchripes is just as pretty as the first one.
Whatever makes me literally do a grabby hands motion towards the screen when looking through people's pictures. Lol.
That's why I bought my C. marshalli and P. cancerides. Other than that it's a spurt of the moment shopping spree for me.
Or he's discouraged from posting here asking for advice again. If not, and they have passed, then I hope they do learn from the mistakes and I sincerely hope it doesn't deter them from the hobby. It's a quick and sudden (and sucky) life lesson.
