Black widows are illegal to ship without an actual permit because they are not only venomous, but dangerous and actually deadly. Atleast that is what I think I heard.
I saw a little thing on Animal Planet that showed a frog sharing a tarantula's burrow because the frog will eat bad insects, mites, etc. So I think it's very likely the frogs were in fact sharing the burrow.
The frog gets safety, a nice home, and his life. The tarantula gets healthy babies, and...

I woke up to find my, now skinny, black widow with a huge egg sac. Should I remove the egg sac and house it in a separate container, or should I just leave it in there? Also, how many l. hesperus slings on average are in a egg sac?

This is a local tarantula sp that I own. It's seriously must be the most docile species around. They do flick hairs if really agitated, but that's it, and rarely.
