I agree that they're great T's and awesome diggers. Here's a pic of mine approx 3" to 3.5" in the old cube. Saturday I put him/her in a Large KK with approx 6" of coco-fiber and put a piece of corkbark flat on the top. After 2 days there is now a cave underneath the bark almost down...
Yeap perfectly normal. My B.ang freebie ate the 1st day I got it then disappeared for almost 2 months. I discovered if U lift up the cup and shine a light on the bottom U can sometimes see it's little body at the bottom...and it usually moved out of the direct light. I 1st thought it died so...
The 1st 2 pics look exactly like my 1.5" auratum right down to the triangle. I guess it will go away in later molts. Mine has been premolt for about a month so I'm waiting to see if she'll look the same still after the molt.
Thanks I really love this spidey even after only 2 days and the 1st it was hidden in the coconut 1/2shell. I'd never heard of D.fasciatus but looking on the web they appear to be the same species :?
Tuesday I finally got the C.fasciatum that's been on my want list for quite awhile :} I got it from Chris at Krazy 8's and it has already webbed its keeper extensively on the 2nd night! All my other babies took a week or more to get comfortable in their new homes. I wish I had a video...

What I did with my new lividum (I believe I got her 1 day before or after you got yours) was to put boxes around 3 sides of her terrarium during the day to keep out direct sunlight and letting in dim natural light from the 4th side (the side away from my windows). Then I took away the boxes at...
After my lividum (I got her yesterday also) stayed at the top of her new home a few hours last night she got down and went right back into her shipping cup that I hadn't had a chance to remove yet. So I put the cup on the lip of the burrow I started for her but she just stayed in...until I...
Yesterday I decided that today I'd try and handle my newest Chaco (unsexed approx 2.5") which I got Oct 30. I just tested the spider by lightly touching its rump with a soft paintbrush and 1 of its back legs quickly stretched out and over its abdomen (I'm not sure if it actually kicked or just...
