You did the right things, unfortunately often times we cant do much in such cases except providing water, heat and documenting it so we can learn from expirience. But it would help if you post a video. Is it WC maybe?
I just conected transparent tubes that goes from one enclosure to another conected with those u-plexes and put together in particular order so spider cant escape. But for some species I use it just for switching the lid with it.. Im sorry for delaying the video...
With this little information it could be anything or nothing. If spider has adequate enclosure, in terms of a good place to hide, burrow and everything else, adequate temperature it's probably nothing, but it is a little bit weird considering it's a LP sling... Size of prey could be also an...
I don't have a video but I will make one in near future and post it in a new thread. Viperkeeper uses it in a different way with snakes, I just got the idea from him, it's nothing special but works with no holes. Here are the videos but he uses it with snakes in many other ones.
No they can't, maybe you misunderstood me because it's hard for me to explain those methods in words and make it a short, efficient message. You cut a U-shape in thin transparent plastic (or plexiglass) and switch it with a lid in a way there is no space more then a half a milimeter maybe. Then...
Simple solution for bolting out, as I mentioned in another thread is replacing the lid of enclosure with plexiglas cover or cd cover (something thin and transparent) when working with them. It's ''boltproof'' and every retard can do it, so if you are mature, informed, calm and dedicated...
Mine P.cambridgei is one of my favorites, because is beautiful (even more in person, pictures aren't representative at all), has very extremely good feeding response and almost never hides, even when she was a sling. I think if they have adequate enclosure in terms of space, substrate and...
Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescens, colorful, interesting and if you set up it's enclosure right and keep it at higher temperatures will be very active and will web a lot.
I didn't saw Australian species in person, closest I saw was Selenocosmias and althogh one may say from the pictures that they are monotonous to me they have "hairs" like no other genus, so smooth... From the pictures I would say the same for Australian species... It matches my taste..
Wet substrate can be the problem, it should be bone dry with a bottle cap as water dish. Mine had a heating pad on one side and very small enclosure for It's size, never tried to escape... Now is MM..
