That's great! Congrats. I wish I had that kind of dough for millipedes right now, but all of my spare cash is wrapped up in some skink projects right now. If you ever get a male and start breeding, let me know. Maybe I'll have more money by then :) good luck!
I believe you are correct. I can't find them for less than $100 anywhere these days. It's a shame. I used to keep dozens of them, and when I started to look into the millipede hobby again, I sure was shocked by the prices.
:( wish I had kept my bunch rather than selling them off/letting them...
Well, they definitely require some effort, research, and money, but they are so rewarding and adorable - in my opinion, it's totally worth it. Really, there are some reptiles and amphibians that are quite easy to take care of in comparison to others. Once you get the right setup and diet...
Normally, I don't purchase my pets at petco but I really couldn't pass on these guys. I got a Russian tortoise (obviously wild caught) for $28 and I got two hatchling red foot tortoises for $44 each. Really, they were excellent deals.

Great pictures, everybody! I love toads.

Wow, you do have some beautiful lizards!
Some of those are entirely new to me.
Other than Mediterranean Geckos, I only have one Northern Blue Tongue Skink. I love him so much, haha. I'll edit this post with pictures later.
For the purposes of casual observation concerning snakes, I think "molt" and "shed" are interchangeable.
Nonetheless, I had difficulty locating any sources - governmental, educational, or otherwise - that indicated there being any difference between a "shed" or a "molt" in snake terminology...
I think the general consensus will be that adding another species to the tank is usually not a good idea for several different reasons. It's simply not worth the many opportunities for risk that would be introduced into to the system. I know less about snakes than many on the boards, so I'm sure...
Hello,
The other night i found this guy running across my foot while I was brushing my teeth. In the process of capturing him, I discovered that he is extremely fast and extremely aggressive. I have had him in a jar for about two days now, and I gave him a cricket approximately the same size...
