nope, it's either one or the other. I had ordered them from swift's Inv. but had gotten the labels switched(my fault).
I should say the sling is greyish in color, slow grower, doesn't have that roundish body style that I've seen in l. parahybana adults.
Do arboreal slings burrow and then move...
just wondering if anyone could help me identify a sling. during a rehousing last summer I accidently mixed labels, one of the slings died during molt so now I'm left with a 3/4" sling that I don't know what it is. it's either a heteroscoda maculata or lasiodora parahybana. unfortunately my...
ok, here's some more info: The wood of the shelves is about 1/2 inch thick. the temperature of my apartment in upstate NY has gotten as low as 40 degrees F. so far this summer(been pretty cold this summer) during the winter the temperature stays pretty constant between 60-70 degrees.
what I...
ok, here's my question: rather then having a heating pad for each tank I was considering placing the heating pads on the underside of each shelf. Would the pads heat the shelf and the tanks enough for the t's? Has anyone tried this method for heating their tanks?
well, I got home and checked on my scorp. his tail is completely extended behind him. I'm afraid to prod him if he's molting.
temperature is between 70-80 degrees, can't measue humidity but there is water in the dish. Basicly the same conditions I've kept him in duing the past 7- 10 months...
how long do emperor scorps live? I think my larger one is passing on. I've had him almost a year now. I noticed today that it's just laying in the tank doing nothing. I blew on him a little to see if he would move and he didn't. when prodded he moved a bit and then just settled back down...
Ok, for a christmas present one of my co-workers bought me a new emp. scorp Yeah!!! It's a small one but I'll take it. Now my question is : is it too small to put in with my full grown emp. ? Also, does it matter if they're both males or both females?
ok guys we're getting way past the topic here. not that I don't appreciate all of the input;)
Now back to the origional topic of growth rate of males vs females.... does anyone know what species may have different gender growth rates.?
I've got three slings that I bought all at the...
I was browsing through ebay and saw several T's that had been preservedand displayed in glass picture frames. I was wondering how dificult it would be to do this yourself, if you're not a taxidermist. Has anyone done this themselves? I hate the thought of any of my T's dying and would like to...
Well, I don't know about you guys but I would love to see a T. Blondi with the colors and markings of a P. Metallica.
And if it wasn't for cross-breeding there wouldn't be certain breeds of dogs and cats that now exist today. IMO anyway.
well, I bought mine about a year or two ago at kb toys for $4.99, they had danger girls action figures in them. I've seen cases at comic stores for $19.99 w/built in lights but up until now i've never actually wanted one of those. Good luck finding one though.
If only they could get this big! This was my son's idea of a treat for being good in school this week! It's a little early but Happy Halloween everyone!
Well, this was something quite unexpected, my obt molted again. It had just molted around Aug. 23 so I wasn't expecting it to molt again. So when I saw the exuvium(?) I thought the worst. I started gingerly pull it's webbing out of the way to check on him and he shot out of his burrow &...
I've got a question for ya Psycho... Do you think your slings have too much room in the bigger containers? I hear everybody talking about how they should be kept in small enclosures(like pill vials, deli cups, ect...) so they can find food easier. But I hate the look of those smaller holders...
