    Interesting Experience Mailing T's

Ummm yeah Legal or not is a venomous animal the same as poisonous? My guess is no but in the eyes of the law is it? I would like to know. I don't think a venomous animal can do any harm to someone who is no allergic. They should be testing for that to begin with if it is not allready...

Just for S&G why is a photo taken with the macro setting on not a macro shot? Last I checked that was still a macro image. I never said they were the best just that they were macro shots. Thanks for the input though.

Moving up to a H. Lividum - advice?

I never meant to offend just that we keep animals as pets outside there natural habitat therefore you no longer observe them in there natural habitat becase there are no walls in nature. Not that we "pet" them just how natural can a glass tank really be? Nature does not have walls that they...

Moving up to a H. Lividum - advice?

I will send you a video next time. BTW it wasn't that bad, like someone said calm hands. A bite from a lividum will not kill you. It may hurt but that is the price we pay.

Moving up to a H. Lividum - advice?

I too have held my H. lividim. The first time was not on purpose, I was transfering from the CC I bought her in. The second time I was drunk and quite calm and yes, not as amazing as some might think. They need respect above all.

    Lasiodora parahybana

mine burrowed for about six months, then without warning, it stoped. I offer a hide but he\she never uses it. I would still give the option to do so. Large, not aggressive imo, alot of space is good but 20 gallons is a bit much. Mine is maybe 4" and in a 2.5 gallon and very happy. I don't...

Moving up to a H. Lividum - advice?

I think a pet is something you can interact with, Without that they are just captive animals like in a zoo. They become nothing but a sight to see and would be better left in the wild. This I suppose is just stupid human nature.

    H. Lividium unexpected behavior..?

I guess that depends on if it's male or female. I have heard MM are more brown, so definitely a female H. lividum yes.

    Tarantula "personalities"

maybe the fact that they do have brains. I don't know for sure I have never disected one. Maybe this will help. http://www.jstor.org/pss/3706300 Maybe not. Some belive in faith, I believe in life. If it is alive in the sense of the word it must have some sort of higher function. If...

    H. Lividium unexpected behavior..?

no but if full every day should not be an issue. Still a spider that big is not going to drown in a dish that small.

    L. parahybana or T. blondi?

I thought the same thing, but I will wait for the next molt. I thought it was but the last molt was so badly messed up I could not get a good picture. It only just reached the 4" mark last molt. Mind you it is well fed at 2 crickets per week, that is this last month not so much since I have...

    T bondi tank size

how big is it now? A T. blondie is not something to have running around because spiders are almost as good of escape artists as snakes. Wait a bit if you can to move on up.

    H. Lividium unexpected behavior..?

Aquarium gravel is my guess, and I think it would be fine without. No big deal if you keep it full, but I would git rid of the gravel. She\he won't drown in that small a dish.
