    I'm a daddy!

I have them seperated into deli cups with a vertical cork bark. The pic I posted was a quick rescue of that female so she didn't lose her brood. I had no deli's left @ the time, so I just made up a quickie container for her out of a 4" square plastic container that I had bought @ Michale"s last...

    I'm a daddy!

Been keeping them on cocofiber and cork bark just like my az. barks, except a little misting from a spray bottle for the hentzi . They seem to be doing real well.

    I'm a daddy!

I'm counting 30+ on the backs of the hentzi's right now.She also told me you still haven't gotten anything from the gerchti yet (neither have I, but the females are hugh that I have) so here's hoping things will happen soon. So far my scorp collection has doubled over the weekend.

    I'm a daddy!

Mark; You and my wife talked today. Did she tell you how one of the females lost all but one because of the males and after seperating her, a few days later I found a total of 14 on her back. It was like she produced a second litter after losing the first set. Have you ever heard of or seen...

    I'm a daddy!

Traded redknee_freak (Mark) last year a few az. barks for some fl. barks. Three of the fl.barks gave birth within the past couple of days and I just wanted to share a pic. Sorry about the quality, but I didn't want to disturb the new mom too much.

L.Q. Gravid or just well fed?

Sorry about the pics. Pic 1 is the LQ and pic 2 is the fat tail. Received both these scorps @ the same time about 2 months ago and placed them on the same sand in their containers, took some pics and up-loaded them to photo bucket. When I posted the pics I didn't even look to see if they were...

random question just popped in my head

    v. Spinigeris. Found it @ the bottom of our pool while cleaning one morning 2 years ago. Thought it was dead and brought it into the house to show the wife and kids. It turned out to be very much alive. Still going strong after 2 years. Have added quite a few more species since then.

feeding day in the reptile room.

I presently have 18 snakes, 6 of which are Crotalus ( rattlesnakes). I feed every snake except the rattlesnakes pre-killed. The reason for this (and some may debate the issue ), is because the venom starts the digestion process and makes it easier on the snake. I know some Crotalus owners who...

    paloma dwarf

There is a few different color variations of this species even from the same area. I could go out fielding 10 weekends in a row all day long and find nothing at all. And just go for a walk with the family and find things I've never found before. Go figure.

    paloma dwarf

Wanted to share my last find. Found this while walking with the wife and kids a month ago not 200 yards from our house. Was just lying motionless on the ground and I thought it was fake. Upon closer examination it started to move, so I scooped it up and carried it home in a cup. This is about as...

Here's a pic of my Hog. As you can see from her eye, she's about ready to shed and I had to take a quick one as she wouldn't sit still.

Nice. looks like a mini a. Chalcodes. I have a Female Hognose but it's c/b not w/c. I haven't taken any pics of her yet, but I'll post one as so as I do. Very difficult to find Hogs they are only found down near the border around the Douglas area from what I've read (but you know the old saying...

    paloma dwarf

I have only seen one in the 5 years I have been here. Also have only seen one Az. Mtn. King and that was two years ago." LOL" She is a sweetheart and very rarely musks (except when my 9year old son holds her.)

    paloma dwarf

Went out to the same area a few weeks ago to look for some more but the grass there was so high it made hunting very difficult. Had my wife and kids along but didn't want them wading through the grass because of the amount of Mohave's and Diamondback's we have here. Just don't want to take...

    paloma dwarf

I had this one in a small container with a screened top. The little one escaped just a few days after posting that pic through a small hole in the top that I didn't even notice. Today I got a call from my wife while I was @ work to tell me that one of my son's found her in the room next to where...
