video: juvenile harvestman (A. vittatum) eating a midge

Very cool. I just got some ornate harvestmen from another user on here, and they are cool! I give them fish flakes and dead crickets for now.

Are there any insects that you still kill

I don't like killing anything, but I dislike mosquitoes and I really don't like Argentine ants. They get into my bug room and try to invade my tanks, and are a huge pain to get rid of. They will also overpower insects larger than themselves and kill them! So although I respect their...

    Unknown assassin bug ID help?

Feed it pinhead crickets and flightless fruit flies. Mist a corner of whatever enclosure you put it in daily. Provide hiding places- bark, leaf litter, some branches to climb on, etc.

My jumping spider hasn't left his web in days

I don't know what species he is other than he is a tiny, metallic bronze found around Southern CA. He's been up in his little web hideaway for over a week now, maybe two. I don't see him coming out anymore to eat, drink water, or anything. Also, even though the webbing is kind of thick, it does...

    Beetle ID pls!

The only red mites I know of are clover and spider mites, and I don't know if they use insects as hosts or not. The larvae won't climb as long as the sides are smooth.

Blue Death Feigning Beetle Egg Hatching

Good luck! I found more, so now I have seen a total of five. The corner they stay in is half moist/half dry, but it looks like the more active ones travel back and forth through the dry sand, back to the coir. I buried a small carrot near them, but can't tell if they are eating it. I don't know...
