That is exactly what it is. Thank you for enlightening me!
I looked up a guide and could not find the exact species. But as you indicated, it is nymph so I'm sure it has some changing to do.

Thanks again!
Hey folks.
I walked outside today and saw this little bud on a cone flower. I thought it was some kind of mantid at first but then I saw a little thingy comming out of the mouth. I have no idea what it is.
Does anyone recognize this?
I haven't.
Wonderful idea.
Specifically, I'd like to see the "perfect" beneficial insect go after spider mites, aphids, small flies, etc. Critters that aren't readily eaten by more conventional, larger predators.
I've house 1 or 2 salticidids in my day for fun and of course seen a fair...
Thank you for sharing your experiences. If they want in, hopefully they won't want out. :)
Anyone with some extra iso's around want to throw some in a plant? See if they hawk on the plant too.
Great thread! Some beneficial insects websites I have browsed sell WC ladybugs, etc, which is okay from outdoor use. However for indoor use, CB specimen are a must. Elytra, that's a great list - wonderful share!
I have a question. How well do isopods stay put? More specifically, if you...
Thanks for your opinion Peter!
I too thought of the legality of anything other than Chinese mantids. Of course I personally could purchase whatever ornamental species are available, what "fun" is it if I can't give potential offspring to family or friends (folks I'm not certain will be as...
Hello Everyone!
Some may remember me, some not. I was a scorpion breeder for a long time before life consumed me and I had to leave my passion. While I still can't persue it how I once did, I'd like to try to mash it in with my everyday life and other hobbies as much as possible. So I'm...
Add these to the list.
Hadrurus Birthing -EAD
Hadrurus arionensis Second Instars -EAD
Hadrurus Taking First Bit of Live Prey -EAD
Hadrurus arionensis Second Feeding -EAD
If it was that easy then everyone would be breeding/rearing them. Unfortunately, no hobbiest (that anyone knows of) has yet to get any past the third or fourth instar and many have not been able to mate or breed them, although I know of a handful of people who have.

I am not sure how exactly you were keeping them, but the C elegans could possibly have been over hydrated. Although I am sure there are some populations at high altitudes where realitive humidity is greater, but more denese populations are likely at lower, less humid altitudes. This is an...
I can attest that Chuck provides good specimen.
I have received somewhere in the range of 30-50 specimen from him in the past. Never one DOA and all have done their "job". (Females have birthed, males have mated.)
He is a good guy, communicates and processes orders quickly and provides a...
Hi Dave,
I have to goto work so I have no time to respond in full. Considering the majority of claims say they are able to aersolize the venom. I for one would expect to see a pattern similar to what would come out of an aersol can, which would be a mist. (Unlike the droplets you are able...
Hello Gala,
I'm sorry but it is my opinion only that your pictures further illustrate flicking of venom. Although the displacement is simlar to that on the glasses photographed by Rien, it needs be accounted the "attack" was at a much further range than the container walls. Again in my...
Hi,
I was logging in to basically say exactly what you just did.
You cleaned up everything I want elaborate on to make certain nobody conveyed my post as me stating "this absolutely cannot and will not ever happen".
As you said, this (along with too many other systematic topics) are...
Although everyones observations are useful, the fact of the matter remains that it is a fairly undocumented claim. Although the known fact is Parabuthus (4 species in fact) have been documented to displace venom. This along with other genrea I stated (Vaejovis, Leirus, Androctnous, etc.)...
There are no publications regarding any species ability to vaporize.."spray" venom. This probable misconception most likely arises from the ability to flick (or better said, displace) venom from the acelus and other body parts at a target. This has been noted in Vaejovis, Parabuthus...
What is funny is in that video, the specimen they claim to be female is the one that dropped the spermataphore.
As Michiel said.. I've seen two males try to mate as well.
Hey Ricky,
They are I3, but a lot are ready to molt to I4. I can already tell some will lag behind on this molt, but hopefully not as long as the last one to molt to I3. He molted 3 months later than all of his brothers and sisters. Right now though they are about the size as my...
Aren't they Rick?
Poeple hate Pandinus, say they are pet holes and this that an the other. Put 20+ kids in one container and there is always something interesting goin on.
Personally I've kept MANY individuals of over 20 species in my "career" and these are one of the most fun. People...
Thank you everyone.
I hope to have as a big of a group of C morenoi as I do C margaritatus. In a few weeks though I will be getting a bunch more adults from a friend. Until then I hope that gal will give me a brood. If she is in fact gravid then I will expect it within the next 90 days...
