I'm a beginner on scorpions, and I 've been to a local pet shop lately and they have this scorpion called "Tanzanian Gold." It was about 1.5~2 inches, and sorry i don't have a picture of it. Any idea of what its scientific name would be great, and care tips about it would be even better...

I handled mine when i first bought my tarantula from a pet shop.."Rosehair Tarantula.".. hearing that it had no venom.. i was just too confident?..haha :) anyways luckily she was slow and docile enough for me..lol and about handling ur tarantula. yes like everybody says, you should try...

wow sheazy that'd be really fun to watch.. i just love burrowing tarantulas.. especially if they do it against the glass so u can see :)

ornatas and rufilatas are the biggest, 8"+

ventral shot.. waiting.. :) IMO it does really look like a regalis/fasciata... not an expert but abdomen/colours looks like one of theirs too. but 8~9" that's really big.. lol

ah.. sorry for this happening.. hopefully you'll find her; check all places that u might not even think of checking.. do you think she might have went out of the room? just keep windows/and doors shut, perhaps that'd help. hope you find her!,good luck.
