I haven’t tried chicken broth. I didn’t know that was a turn on for them, but I’ll have a go at it. I’ll do anything if it keeps me from using the nasty pinky pump. Thanks for the tip.
I have a pair of leucistic pine snakes that refuse to eat on their own. I have tried every trick in the book, and then some, but they will not voluntarily eat. I had no choice but to break out the pinky pump and force feed them. However, I absolutely can not force the plunger down with one hand...
What I find amusing is that I would bet the same people that would not care if you sent an A. australis through the mail would also give you a verbal beat down for sending a Copperhead through the USPS. Some people would not dream of missing a ride on the moral high horse.
To me, it looks like an Emory's rat snake, and maybe an albino Emory's, but I’m not sure. (Rat snakes are not a favorite of mine.) Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Sorry, not at this time. It's a new colony for me, and I only have 20 at the moment. Perhaps in the future when it starts to take off? Or, you get get them from Olivia at bugchick.com. That's where I got mine.
I got them from some dude that was selling them in the classifieds on kingsnake.com under “Other Snakes.” They’re really beautiful if I do say so myself.:) There’s still some on there now, but not too many. You would probably have better luck looking there in June or July.
Nope. They're all pretty much identical, and I hope it stays that way. I noticed that some people have death's mouth, or death's nose and an eye roaches, and it doesn't look too cool. Mine have clearly defined eyes, nose and mouth on all of them. The way I like it.:)
